Flamingoland by Deborah McAndrew, directed by Barry Keane At the age of 58, Mari is getting ready to die; she's got terminal cancer, and wants to make her death as organised as possible. From labelling her possessions so that her daughter, Kathleen, knows what needs to be done with them all; to making sure her family have written and practised their farewell speeches for the funeral, shredding bank statements and dealing with the squirrels in the loft, she's leaving nothing to chance. But Mari is lonely. She's too feeble to go out, and nobody comes to visit, fearing they won't know what to say.
