We are delighted to tell you that our first show of 2019 is coming very soon! Twinkle, starring Scott Ayling and directed by Thelma Russell is written by Philip Meeks. The play is a one man comedy chronicling a forgotten history and a dying art. For decades Harold has lived his life in tune with the seasons of pantomime, as a doyen of the pantomime dame. One of the last of a dying breed Harold may be feeling his age but he’s resisting changes to the world he loves with a vengeance. As he prepares once again to revive his favourite character, Widow Twankey, he’s decided to make the ultimate stand against his nemesis. As Harold starts to become the Widow his tragic secrets unfold and we discover startling truth behind the dark act he’s preparing to commit…
Thelma and Scott are battling the winter cold and working hard to have the play ready for you on 27th February. Playing until 2nd March, we’re also introducing a new student price of £5 for this show. Please show your NUS card or Student ID at the door to receive our special student price.
