The Lion in Winter – coming soon

The Lion in Winter is coming soon and advance tickets are now on sale!

A family feud of imperial proportions, don’t miss the epic take-down that will leave you open-mouthed, trying to decide if you just saw a 12th Century version of Eastenders or Game of Thrones.

Set during Christmas 1183, The Lion in Winter tells the wickedly amusing tale of King Henry II, his imprisoned queen (released only for the holiday), and their three entitled sons who vie for the throne in a double-dealing division of the kingdom. Best known for the film adaptation starring Peter O’Toole and Katharine Hepburn, this viciously funny drama is a high-stakes chess game where the pieces constantly change sides and no one is spared the sword.

The show runs from 24-29 February and tickets are £10 and £5 for students.
